I see from your Profile that you are interested in Wicca. A good place to start would be in the Wicca Forum on this site. In particular, I'd suggest the following threads:

And I would recommend the following books as excellent starting material for anyone seeking to become a Wiccan:
"Wicca: A Year and a Day" by Timothy Roderick
"Wicca" by Thea Sabin"
I have been a practicing Wiccan since 1980 and a Wiccan High Priestess of a real-life coven and Tradition since 1996. While I do not teach on-line, I am always willing to answer specific question or to point you at good resources. Feel free to drop me an e-mail, or post your questions in the Wicca Forum.
:
1) Development of concentration skill.(Concentration is the fixation by the mind of an external object or internal point. Concentration can not occur in the absence of an object on which the mind can be concentrated). A well-trained mind can be, if desired, focused on any point inside or outside, at the same time excluding all other thoughts. - This is important for meditation or magical work.
2) Development of visualization skill. Visualization is a mental representation of an object or process, performed in great detail and using other senses.
Those. an image that we see and feel. Since the thought is as essential as our reality, only in another plane of being, a clear idea of something supported by any energy has its force in our world.
3) The study of basic work with energies. You need to develop this skill. You should strive to understand the energies. You must learn to feel, perceive and control energy - through feelings, thoughts, visualization, concentration and intention.
I'm sure that you will be able to master this "base." After that you will be free to choose your direction in magic, your place in the tradition and so on. =)
