Lark's suggestion of the Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells is actually a very good one, and it's a great investment for someone that's just beginning to study! It has literally 5,000 spells and is a great way to get ideas on how to write your own spells, while it also helps you figure out what kind of magick you're comfortable with. This can be charms, potions, rituals, making talismans or oils etc. Definitely invest in this book!!!
