Yes, there are entities that can protect one from other spirits.

Yes, sometimes Even a spirit can protect you from another spirit. If you have a spirit animal they can protect you too.

The simple answer to your question though, is if you don't ask for help why should they help you? It seems you think they should naturally protect you, and in many cases they do in different ways. But people have to do things for themselves as well. At times spirits interfere in our lives for a reason. Sometimes it's the awakening some people need.
Your question has many answers. Can you be more specific to a situation?

Bigger question, why should a guide protect you? (They are supposed to guide you, not guard you.) Or why should a Deity? The idea of being helped without offering anything in return is very modern. In older ages, you had to give another spirit or a Deity a reason to help you, such as through offerings t/They liked or performing a service for t/Them.

Exactly my point, Shapash. I feel Christianity is what brought this feeling in. The teaching of "God loves you and is protecting you and guiding your path always" seems to have really affected how people in other traditions feel as well, which is understandable considering how formative it was. In older times, offerings and gifts would be made. It wasn't this "I feel special and like I should do nothing to earn my love from my god/goddess." Which everyone can view their own way; bad or good. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. I just find it fascinating when people expect these things. I've never expected anything of a spirit/deity especially when I offered it nothing in return.

Thanks everyone. To the first three though, I didn't ask exactly that, I wondered like why they don't do it...

Falling Leaf and Shapash, the spirits around me have protected me many times in the past and back then, I didn't give any offering or something, back then. Why they did it then? Because they care. Even the matron/patron Deity of the person, that's what I meant, not just any Deity. Because it is highly unlikely for this person to meet this matron/patron Deity in that lifetime and not before birth.

Falling Leaf, you have misunderstooded me. Christianity did not affect me, I follow no religion although I believe all Gods exist. I certainly do not believe what this religion says, in fact I support it is consisted of Many lies and am aware people get affected by it, badly, but I am not. I also am not fan of it, sure it teaches about love but lies exist and I don't like them.

I also do not expect anything in return, when I offer things to Deities or other spirits. I Never, Ever do it to get something in return, why did you make these conclusions for me? My heart is pure, not nasty or hypocritical. And Deffinetely I do not feel special, because I am humble; I appreciate A Lot what those spirits do around me so I do my best to show them my appreciation through both offerings and words, no, I'm not playing the big deal or something.

I was just curious because these amazing spirits protected me in the past without me offering something to them in the first place. So I was wondering why this wouldn't happen to anyone else?

You misunderstood me as well. Christianity is a religion that affected the beliefs of other pagan religions because of it taking them over and converting people. This affecting the path of other religions, which leads to a lot of people of other paths still having this thought of "My gods/goddess will always protect me" along with other Christian based beliefs. Christainity had an affect on many things, and the beliefs of many religions which is what I was commenting on. This sense of entitlement that many people feel with religion seems to stem from Christianity, even if you aren't feeling entitled. Though it did come off that way.

If you were friendly with those spirits and had a relationship with the spirits, that can be something you offered. Friendship can be considered an offering with spirits. My entire point is, even Matron/Patron deities won't always protect you for various reasons. Maybe a lesson that needs to be learned, maybe for the person to know they can do it for themselves, and so on. Thus, never assume a spirit or deity will protect you, especially if you've done nothing to "pay" (to make it easier to understand) for the service.

Deities and spirits have their reasons for many things they do. And they often teach us things. It's why I asked you to narrow your question to an instance.

My apologies if I offended you, but that part of the comment wasn't specific to you.

Again, to sum it up. There could be a lesson of some sort that the person needs to learn, but no one should just assume a deity or spirit should protect them and get nothing in return.

Excuse me Falling Leaf, then, didn't know. I understand and no you didn't offend me. :)

To be honest you have a point, in fact once those spirits didn't protect me and a spirit who was stronger from me was torturing me and messing around with my life for a long time; without my knowledge. It was specifically a lesson for a summoning, I used no protection and was just summoning. And yes, those spirits are fimiliar to me... I understand what you're saying now, thanks. :)

I think they just protected me because I was Too young ad was desperate for it...
