Energy of the Eclipse

I just saw it brings the energy of Change, New beginnings, Rebirth... But, for how long these energies will last? So if I plan on a Change or something these energies will help?

usually it is best used in the moment. IE; arranging and performing the desired working during the eclipse or on the same day. So you could also do a working at dusk or midnight and still connect with the eclipse. Especially if you were fortunate enough to step outside and experience it directly. having the image and energies fresh in the mind help you to connect to it the most.

The spell will work like any other spell, and will last however long it would normally last. (Normally as long as you place effort and attention towards the goal of the spell). it just means that at the time you do the working there is a lot more going in favor for you symbolically, and so a lot more energy to draw and use to put towards your goals.

It's like pumping up a water gun. The more pumps you can put into it, the stronger the blast when you pull the trigger. ^_^

the moment of the full eclipse is the peak moment for the spell, it doesn't mean it's an all powerful never wearing off casting [even eclipses happen more than people think] but it's the best chance to cast a spell you feel desperately need [like you want to change your attitude, doing a ritual or spell at the peak of the eclipse is your optimum chance to harness these energies] this doesn't mean spells cast walk away knowing it'll work forever, you need to put in the effort, it simply means the energy's working twice as likely in your favour so your goal will be a little easier for you. once you've reached said goal, the energy [as with any spell] will have run its course and return to the neutral energy pool around us.

May I ask you something? I understand that I have to put the effort, I will; and oh yes trust me I did out of desperation. I started the spell at the peak of the Eclipse, but I finished it later; will that have the same effect? I just couldn't do it in 2 and a half minutes.

I imagine it would be just fine. It isn't quite like the movies where you get the epic ritual and the alignment of the planets and the great beam of energy... then have it all collapse the second the conditions change.

One thing to bear in mind is that everything is a transition, not a switch. There is energy of the eclipse through the whole process of the event. The energy of it might start soft and quiet. But it builds up the closer to the actual event it gets. Then the available energy might reach a peak of strength during the 'full' portion of the eclipse before it starts to wane again. I suppose you could think of the eclipse as the energy of a full lunar cycle compressed into an hour (or so) of time. From full, waning to new, and waxing again to full.

As another analogy ( -do- love my analogies :P) imagine you are standing on the sidewalk and a car is racing past you. You don't hear a blast of sound only when it is right beside you. You hear the sound build up as it comes close, then it becomes a brief roar of engine as it passes you before fading to the distance again. But you can still hear it the whole time, as it comes and goes.

It isn't because the car itself is driving more quietly the further away it is. It is always the same volume of sound. You hear more of it the closer the car gets. Likewise, the event of the eclipse is always pumping out that energy and creating that movement. The energy itself doesn't wax and wane. Only your awareness of it.
