Creating Your Own Spells
By:
I'm fairly new to witchcraft but I've been itching to write my own spells for some time now. I've been studying from Raymond Bucklands Complete Book Of Witchcraft and so far I'm starting to understand that witchcraft is more so about personal preferences rather than set ones. With this in mind I feel should be able to write my own spells but at the same time I'm wondering if I should wait until I learn more. Should I shape my own spells as I go or wait?

There is no reason why you should not go ahead and start creating your own spells as long as you have a good understanding of how and why magic works. You might find a post that I wrote on how to go about creating a spell to be useful. You can find the post at http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=829629

My circle and i are more so focused on intent and focus, so what we usually do is we just focus on what we need and pour our combined magic into it. So by that logic creating your own spells should be quite the simple task. Being that we only use incantations its really easy for us
