Reaffirming spells?
By:
I am newbie at Candle Magick. My apologies in advance if it's a silly one! I recently cast a spell regarding employment for someone dear to me. It?s very important to me to get this as right or as powerful as possible. This person now has an interview set up. To cut a long story short, I feel compelled for numerous reasons to ?reinforce? or maybe the right word is reaffirm the desire for this person to get the job! My concern or questions is if it?s a good idea to reaffirm, not necessarily by going through the entire spell but parts of the spell?

Not sure of any does and dont's for candle magic but I don?t want to annoy the Universal Powers either ;-) For those more experienced, I would appreciate your thoughts on this point.

You could always make a sigil.

Sigils arent a bad way to go. but if you started with candles, and feel comfortable with it then do another one.

Youre not gonna annoy the universe, ( :

Thank you Mrs.Kaos and Thor for your replies. Appreciate it. I do not know what a sigil is at this time but will read up on it. Matter of fact if there is a good place to start on that, in particular a book, please do advise. At this time, I will stay true to what I started and as Thor said, stay with what I am familiar and comfortable with which is candles. I will go ahead on that path at this time.

If you have a suggestion as to the best source or best "go to" source for meanings of herbs, please do suggest as I want to make my own oils as well. Again, thank you!

A sigil is a symbol that represents a goal or desire and is made by making your statement of intent, then taking out the vowels and repeating letters. After doing this you would rearrange the letters to form a symbol then charge or activate it.

Practical Sigil Magic by Frater U.D. is a good source in my opinion and can be found online as a pdf.

Mrs.Kaos,

I did create a sigil and found the process interesting. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention. I just wanted to get your opinion on something that I'm not quite clear on. I read somewhere along the way, sigil's are primarily most effective when done for oneself. And I do understand why that would be the case. In my case, however, it was done for another. How effective do you find sigil's to be if the wishes are for others?

Thank you.
