Right now, I have a table filled with my Son's crystal collection. Most of them I bought and I know that they are genuine. I am in the middle of categorizing them for sale. I have a vortex of power in the middle of my house, and I'm loving it.
Onyx is used for protection and so is Black Tourmaline. I don't know of any crystals used to attract demons.
The Crystal Bible is an excellent book for crystal healing. I have it and use it all the time, crystalline entities really help boost your Spells and can be used in crystal grids for healing.
Size does matter, but if you put a smaller crystal beside a large one, the small crystal will borrow power from the larger one. I use smaller tumbled stones to put in pouches for healing, you can tailor the stones to serve your purpose, and yes, they do work. You must make sure that they are cleansed, usually under the Full Moon, and programed to do your will.

I don't know any negative properties on crystals. Though you could program a clear/white quartz to have negative effects or boost your spells that are negative.

Thank you for information!

Misanthropy you mentioned directing energy out of crystal to some target. How should this correctly be done?

I can give you an example of a method that I use.
As I said, you could charge the crystal with your intent and use it to direct that energy out for a specific purpose. Charge the crystal like you would any other item and then focus on that energy being used or released during your spell to go out into the universe to bring your will into manifestation.
As an example, if I am doing a healing ritual, I will do a crystal grid for healing purposes. I will charge my crystals through visualization and chanting then during my spell or ritual, I then visualize and focus on that intent and energy being sent out to the person I am trying to send healing energy too.
Also keep in mind that it may help (or hinder, depending on what you are doing) in small ways.

There are several ways to direct a stone's energy (or of course the energy you have put into the stone). Considering that stones naturally radiate into or otherwise influence the environment around them, the simplest way is to place a charged or programmed stone wherever you want it to have an effect. Putting it in the sun is always a bonus because as the light shines through a crystal it helps feed the energy.
Another option is to wear the stone if you want to apply its qualities to yourself.

As for directing the energies to another person, once again the easiest way is to simply have the stone in their presence. Or you can also use the stone/crystal as a part of the magic you are wanting to work, and visualize the spell operating through the stone and so picking up its influence as it is set to task. A third option would be to get a wand of the crystal you want to work with (like a long quartz point, or a selenite stone carved into a wand), or otherwise affix the stone to a wand you already use.

If you want something more temporary, simply hold the crystal you want to use in the same hand as the tool you use to send out your will (wand, staff, athame, whatever). Then when visualizing, incorporate the idea of your energy and will passing through your hand, through the stone, into the tool, and out.

Thank you for your replies.

So once stone is charged with energy (whether it be for good or for bad), I release it by imagining/visualizing that it from stone to target?

In my case I am not able to put stone physically close to target.

Maybe if I hit stone into pieces with hammer then I might be able to hide small piece somewhere near target without getting caught but I am not sure if piece around few millimeters still works or if hitting a stone with hammer to make it smaller offends the spiritual world in any way.

One more question: Someone mentioned here clear quartz. What is clear quartz and what would be unclear quartz? I know what quartz is but I am a bit confused by what word clear means? What should I look for? Like without color? Transparent?

Can it be nontransparent like first stone shown on http://www.healing-crystals-for-you.com/clear-quartz-crystals.html or does it have more transparent like the jewelry one on the third picture?

"Clear" quartz is rock quartz, rather than being rose quartz (pink), smokey quartz (grey/brown), lemon quartz (yellow).

And to add to what HearthWitch said, yes clear quarts is also typically quite transparent. it can have some cloud or cracks, so you might not be able to see through it, but you usually can see into it at least.

heh, there are actually a very large number of different kinds of quartz. but yes, 'clear' quartz is your basic, clear (or mostly clear) five-sided pointy-tipped rock. To help you get an idea of the differences, just try doing separate google image searches for 'clear quartz', 'smoky quartz', 'citrine', 'amethyst', 'rhutillated quartz', and maybe even 'herkimer diamond' and observe what pops up.

Crystals actually have their own vibrations.
"In crystals these modes are called phonons. As with molecules, quantum mechanics requires that vibrational energy in a crystal is gained or lost in discrete packets, or quanta, of energy, corresponding to h, where h is Planck's constant (6.626x10–34 J. sec) and is the frequency of a vibration."

A little science to help understand how this may be possible... Different crystal vibrate on different frequencies.
