when drained of energy?

My grandma told me that when you do a powerful spell, if your energy level is drained it usually means it worked. Is that true?

Spellcasting can indeed be a bit like running in that it takes time for you to get into the full swing of things, momentum builds up, then during the process things go fluidly, until you stop, and feel drained.

Granted, that means the spell was cast, not that it has worked yet.

You tend to feel drained after a spell if you are using your own energy, it is best to use energy drawn from external sources rather than your own if you are feeling drained after a spell.

feeling drained of energy is Normal. what you could do to ease your burden when performing a spell or even a ritual is to empower other items you will use before hand. for example if your write down words and burn them in fire you could cleanse and power the elements before us with moon light, or create a circle or elements and place them in the centre over night. of if you find you have more energy after a small tea ritual and a herbal bath do that before hand. as long as you feel connected to the item and energy around you it can help you. if you have any question message me
