Some believe you can use salt on window sills to keep spirits out, you can use it for cleansing you and your tools, you can also use it to exspell a spirit out of an object (there is also a japanese game you can play, but it's very dangerous as you are summoning a spirit to possess a doll and play hide and seek, they use salt water to exspell the spirit out of the doll), you can uses it for protection, and healing. I am sure there is more, those are just some that I know.

Salt is excellent for sprinkling on doors, windowsills, closets, and for the protection of altars. You can double the protection by clearing any negative energies with sage. Salt and sage can also be used as offerings.
