I was told about a year or so ago by my phsycologist i was a sensitive. and have would love to hone the skill,as an empath. Can anyone help me by maybe making a suggestion of what or how. I am seriously bad at meditating my mind tends to wander.lol. but i know it is probably the best way.If there are any here that are willing to teach I am willing to listen. It is a skill I really admire, and would love to learn and maybe even have done for me to show how well it can work.

Um, well, I am an empath, but I'm not quite sure how to become one, I know you have to open your third eye I think. I warn you now, it is painful though, I am just like a minor empath, but it still hurts and it is getting more sensitive with my age. If you really want this, I can't stop you, just know that there is quite a lot of pain if you don't choose to use a sheild.

I already am an empath or a highly sensitive person, my goal would be able to hone this into an ability to help people more.
I know the pain already i just never knew what to call it untilrecently, I was always told I was "overly sensitive". Which meant to me it was bad, I think it could be used for good if used properly. Don't you think?

Well, if you already are one then I would use it for good. Try to help other people with problems, you can easily understand their pain! If someone's dog died, you could use your empathic abilities to help make them feel better because you basically know how to handel them. The more you use your gift, the stronger it will probably get. If you are still young then it may still grow, like mine is, or it may just stay the same sensitivity as it is now.

Well being one myself I've learnt to block the most part which is the biggest skill required for survival in this otherwise you'd end up going nuts and in a mental ward.

Though I'm actually quite interested in the thinking of how many of us empaths find it difficuilt to clear our minds in order to meditate. The clearing your mind comes after learning to block, however you also need to meditate to do this. Vicious circle. Only way around this is quite simply find where you relax sit and release everything. I relax around water and if you can find yourself somewhere that you can be solely by yourself then you are on your way to peace of mind, as to clear the mind you need no outside input and that is the only place you will get it.
