Can someone help me please. I suffer from chronic depression. I don't have any emotional support so I need to find the strength to be able to support myself and heal. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you in advance.
if you have problems with depression you probably need to see a professional like a therapist. Magic can't help with everything and with stuff like mental illness you really oughtta get checked out, and find a support system
I suffer from Chronic depression since a very young age.
I know how hard it is to find in your self strength to carry on and fight and i do know how it feels to have to carry it all in your shoulders and have no one to help you.
My advice to you, the advice that i forced my self to take, is to seek help in a hospital, like mentioned above. Getting in to therapy will help you more than you realize. At first you may not believe, like i didn't, but it will. In therapy, you'll slowly get better maybe with medication, maybe not.
Also, if you do take that advice and if you do have to take medication, do not worry that " it's going to change you ", no. Medication is a boost to help you recover faster, not to change who you are. That's the best advice anyone can give you.
Hi there, understood depression could be really painful and it often quite difficult to get out of it on one's own initiative, but if you have any interest in trying Kabbah principled esoteric remedy, it will help with your situation, not only depression, but also the cause of it. If you are interested, let me know.
I'm sorry that you are suffering from depression. I too suffer from it and have had a therapist and medication. I still suffer from depression, but I can't afford a therapist or medication at the moment. I also find it hard to talk to people about how I feel cause sometimes I feel like they would not understand.
While I took medication and did therapy however, I did try my best to meditate. While I meditated I would try to push all of the negative thoughts out of my body and fill myself with positive energy and good thoughts. This worked with me temporarily and I just kept doing it for a while. Then I found other ways to deal with my depression as in multiple hobbies. :)
If you're feeling really bad though and considering other things, such as self harm and suicide, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. You can find it with a simple search. I hope you start to feel better soon.
As someone who has suffered from depression and anxiety on and off for a long time, I can say that magick will not cure it, same as it won't cure cancer. Mental illness is caused by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. It's physical; therefore magick will not change it. It's as impossible as changing your DNA (in fact, most mental illnesses do have a genetic component).
Look into medication, therapy, and meditation. I would also recommend picking up a hobby or two. Keeping myself occupied helps me immensely.
You can do a spell to bring positivity into your home, one to make therapy as effective as possible, one to make yourself as happy as possible despite your illness, etc.
Also, if you need to vent, feel free to message me.
I too suffered.(as far back as I can remember)and at times, will still get down on myself really bad. I agree with every ones advice aswell.
For years,i found things to hide myself in.writing how I felt in music helped me to cope and hang on.but it wasn't til I started my path of enlightenment, that I discovered who I was and why I was that way.I dug deep.into all the ugliness.and found my root causes.(which is what professional help does).
Once I discovered and got over my denile,I learned to forgive.so I could let go of it.I learned that it wasn't my fault.it's hard, because in my case,my feelings were programmed into my conciuosness.it's just who I am.
If you want to get better.you can do it.don't ever stop asking people for help.and asking others to listen.there's ALWAYS some one out there that can help.always.your not the only one.so you don't have to feel alone about.
i've dealt with depression for a while myself, while certain ones can be managed by yourself, its best to combine several things to find what works for you. so be sure to talk to a professional to help. you can also call a suicide hotline or other crisis hotline not because you're wanting to kill yourself, but to have someone to talk to. many calls are people who want to open up, and these call centers are anonymous so it can help since they're there to listen to you and not judge you like some friends and family might [or it might feel that way]
i also read a lot of articles on TinyBuddha when i was low that helped me, journalling, meditation, healthy diet and exercise also helped me. [but this doesn't work for everyone so find what works for you] i also made a list of things i enjoy, just for those low days i'd have something to remind me of things i could do to try and get out of that mindset [didn't always worked, but it's worth a shot]
