I could help you. Go with white magick, you could all the other stuff as Black magick but it's not as dangerous.

How many years of experience do you have with liking and practicing magick spells, whether you think you are a witch yet or not?

First and most important rule. Buy a moleskin from Dollar Tree for a buck or a notebook which could fit in your pocket. You will carry this all your life and become great at your practice.

Book of Shadow Set up

* Cover page
* Dedication Page
* Reference Tab
* Prayer/Song Tab
* Ritual Tab
* Spell Tab

Start with safeties, always start with safeties. Like protection spells casting protection spells and so on. (Safety Measure)

You will need to put the main rule, "An Ye Harm None Do As Ye Will" a.k.a. "Please do not do harm to anyone with your magick."

If you love someone love will return three times. If you hate someone, it will return as well. If you give someone a dollar it will come back three times. True story! This is a rule not a spell, if you follow the rule you will become a great witch. If not, you will be a little itsy small regular witch.

Are you familiar with the law of attraction? In wiccan it's called the Law of Three.

This is from SOM:
"The nature of this three-fold return can perhaps be better understood when considering the cause and effect principle of a spell. Let's take an example: Someone comes to you in distress with a problem. You help by sending out positive energy and the problem is successfully resolved. This automatically makes you feel good about yourself and influences your thoughts; thus your state of consciousness is altered.

In turn your thoughts stir the emotions; which has a physical effect in the body by causing glandular secretions to enter into the blood stream. The resulting state of mind and body lifts your spirit, which is what makes you feel good. Thus, with the act of a single good deed you have been effected three times in mind, body, and spirit. This then is your three-fold response to the return of positive energy. Now consider your response had you sent out negative energy or something went drastically wrong."

You need, I know it looks boring but the "articles" page on here you need to write down in your book. Some are long spells, like ten pages, those don't count.

These are the main one's:
Candle Colors, I need all your candle colors down and written. Moon phases, I need these, too. Reference: Crystals, Reference: Moon Phases, Reference: Tools, Reference :Types of Magick

Moon Phases, you need this in your book. Not word for word. Just general cliff notes.

New Moon
The dark of the moon, when the moon is invisible, is the most affective for casting spells concerning New Beginnings, and the launch of new projects. It is generally a time for taking new paths and making fresh plans established on the basis of past experiences. The influence of the New moon can also boost ambitions and careers, so it is a productive time for sowing the seeds of success. During the New moon, money spells, and work spells stand a better chance of being fulfilled than at other times. It is generally a good time for spending money and speculating with a view towards the future. Those who have experienced problems should take advantage of the valuable time.

Waxing Moon
The waxing moon is the period between the New moon and Full moon. This is a special time for expansion and growth, and accumulating strength. It is also an appropriate time for preparing your magical spells for the most promising time, which is the three days before the moon is full. The waxing moon aids the accomplishment of any undertakings, whether of a practical or spiritual nature. For witches it is a time for quests for empowerment and a period in which to enhance our magical powers and our perception of the other world. In fact, the closer we come to the Full moon, the stronger and more aspiring are our intuitive powers, which in turn, leads to a new level of awareness.

Full Moon
The Full moon is the most fortuous time, especially when it's approaching the witching hour of midnight. Your inner strength and magical powers will be at their peak. Casting love spells during the Full moon assures enchanting outcomes, so if you yearn for more love in your life, now is the time to transcend your desires into the cosmos. The full moon is also the most appropriate time to give recognition and to pay tribute to the spirits that guide and protect you. During this period, the extrovert aspects of our character begin to appear more outgoing and receptive towards others. So use this time wisely and crystallize your spells into rewarding experiences.

Waning Moon
This is the period when the moon journeys from Full to New moon. Casting spells for removing problems, eliminating trouble, neutralizing adversaries and causing harm is most affective when the moon is on the wane. Protection spells for yourself, your loved ones, home and material possessions are also best cast at this time. It is also a time when our bodies are most susceptible to cleansing, so it is a good time to cleanse yourself through the process of detoxification. This can be best achieved through healing and herbal remedies, such as healing teas. Diet and exercise also become easier during this time and results tend to last longer.

Learn your basics, meditation, grounding, balance, visualization, etc.

Here is a page you should print out. If you live with your parents, bury your stuff in a plastic bag. Candles, cauldrons, oils, etc. Prefferably out in nature.

Print this out: also, write down all the important stuff you didn't know.

You don't have to be gay or a child molester by the way, it is important for you to know this.

For crystals, Write down all the ones you like, a printout of all this stuff in a three ring binder is awesome, too. Bury it if need be.

Casting spells.
This is hard and doesn't work as well at first.
You have to cast a spell a thousand times to make it work well, so to speak. Practice means the Gods will allow you passage into a working spell. So long as you are practicing your law of three. Don't use it for evil.

Rules, don't practice death spells, they will backfire horribly!

Okay, let's start with a protection spell.

Setup your altar.
Then you add faith.
You cast your circle.
Then you add faith.
Then you cast your spell.
Then you add faith.
Then you bind your spell.
Then you add faith.
Then you say a rhyme like "This spell will work. This spell will work. This spell for Squirt."
Then you close your circle.
Then you add faith.
Then you close your altar.
Then you add faith.

This you should write down.

It sounds strange but this is how it's done.

Send me messages all the time. I'll send you my facebook via SOM email.

Follow these steps:

Step by step or it will not work right.

1.Don't use any magick to harm people.

3. Do it under the correct moon phase.

4. Practice your spell several times.

5. If you don't feel good don't believe or say "Holy night, day by night, I am a witch, Made of Light" just don't do it in your head, use your voice and write this all down.

The issues I have with the above post are many.

White and black magic are moral judgments made on the action of the caster. Magic is a neutral force, it can harm and do good depending on how it is used.

The three fold and the Wiccan rede are tenants of Wicca, not of every single magical practice in the world.

The rest of what followed was Imdieing's personal opinion/understanding of magic.

If you are new to magic, check out the general information forum. I have found that Modern Magic is a very good book for those starting in magic.

There is no governing authority on what magic is, who can do it, and how they should practice it. Ask 13 witches about magic you can expect up to 39 different answers depending on mood and their current studies.

Although I agree with some of what has been put above, Imdieing, a proportion of what you have written about is related to the religion of Wicca, which is separate from the practice of witchcraft, you don't need to follow the Wiccan religion in order to practice (this is your personal practice and so should be pushed on someone who has potentially not chosen their path yet.

Your profile is blank, you have no image, we have no idea how much you really know or for how long you have been practicing, so maybe instead of spouting lots of information at someone, you should ask them whether what you are offering to teach is what they are interested in learning.
