What now?
By:
Does anyone get that awkward feeling after you have performed a ritual or spell. Do you just think to yourself, "what do I do now?" I just feel really strange and kind of 'lost'. Anyone ever get this feeling? If so, what do you do after performing magick?

Thank you to all replies! :D

Yeah I think the post above is correct. Work a nice closing into your ritual whether it be mundane or spiritual. But also I do not think there is anything wrong with simply letting yourself feel whatever sensation you receive upon completing a spell, as it is good to be mindful of your feelings.

You can always meditate if you're feeling a bit empty. Do you close your circle when you finish..? Maybe that's a feeling you have? That you may have forgotten?

I used to have the same issue when I first started out. I fixed it at first by planning ahead what I was going to do after the ritual or spell. Because just going and sitting in front of my computer or tv felt too "non witchy" or spiritual afterwards. lol.

My fixes included making sure I had a meditation period after the working that generally ended in a proper grounding of any extra energy, a proper closing of the space (if formal ritual) and then doing something relaxing to bring me back into the mundane world. Reading a spiritual oriented book or even taking a cleansing shower helps. Or just spending time outdoors until I felt like going back to daily activities.

LOL wow... I didn't think anyone was going to say it. But i feel the exact same way though. I never really know what to do after a spell/ritual. Maybe get something to eat/drink? Sometimes it can be really energy draining.

If you find it really draining, then you are putting in too much personal energy or focus and this isn't good. Try to use energy from around you instead of within you. And always ground and center as part of your workings. A successful working should not leave you feeling tired, drained, light headed or ill in any manner. It also shouldn't make you feel the opposite with too much extra energy like you are "high" on magick. Not properly releasing the built up energy can cause headaches, nausea and other things. Again...ground and centering are important.
