When practicing, make up a question, or use this blog:

When practicing, make sure you have the deck's book explaining the cards, and then use what the book says to relate it to the question or situation. You may draw a card that says 'Endings, sickness, and ill-intention" but if the question is "I want to find a new job", Based on where the card is in the spread, you can relate it to that situation by saying "Your search will end", if it is in the present future 'slot' or "Within the new job there may be ill happenings that you must avoid" if it is in the 'future' or 'outcome' slot.

This is how I would recommend it. Some people, when doing readings, do not have the client tell the question or situation, and let them interpret the cards. (However, often with less accuracy.)

Remember, when you are practicing it helps to use fictional situations, as if you read the cards wrong when giving yourself a reading, you could put unnecessary anxiety on yourself if the reading turns out ill due to how you read it.
