hi and welcome. for beginners we recommend meditation. yes meditation helps u in improving ur focus and concentration. so try starting with it.

I don't think wikipedia would be very usefull for you, because, while it does have interesting information it explains the what rather tha the how to(and that asuming you can find any information there about real magic). I would recomend you check out the rituals section of the way of the star coven; they have beginer's information there. Blessed be.
