Electic Paganism
By:
Hey,

So I've been exploring multiple paths of Paganism as I try to determine which is the path for me.

I really like the idea of Electic paganism but I just need to confirm from the community as to what it concerns. From my understanding it enables me to ''pick and choose'' what I like from multiple paths. The main reasonS being is that I don't really wish to follow the Threefold Law as I just feel it's unnecessary and unrealistic to my practises.

So if anyone has any further infomation please let me know! ;)

In my opinion, Eclectic paganism indeed means believing in multiple aspects of multiple religions. For me, that means mainly the Germanic gods, including Lilith and Satan. Because those aren't all from the same belief system, I assume it could be classified as Eclectic. Just believe what you wish to believe and don't worry about the names.

First of all some religions are mutually exclusive.

Second of all Lilith and Satan are not Germanic.

Third picking and choosing is considered very rude and disrespectful by most of the people who dedicate themselves to a religion.

Fourth the three fold law isnt Pagan, it is Neo Pagan aka Wiccan and wicca is not paganism.

Paganism is by definition indigenous european religions surpressed by the rise of Christianity aka the religions of the Celts, Germanic Tribes, Norsemen, Slavs, Greeks, Romans, Basque, etc.

Thanks for the support Drakelius!

I hope I didn't offend anyone as I just needed confirmation as to whether the Eclectic path was the one for me.

I simply quoted the infomation provided and was told I was being rude.

Sorry.
