We have had several cats pass away in the past year. The most recent on July 2nd, 2015. Ever since then, none of our cats will go in our bedroom, and we don't know why. They always slept with us, and now they all stay out. We can't think of anything that would cause this.
Could the spirit of our last kitty be haunting our bedroom?
It's possible. Were your cats ever around the last cat to pass away? Because if they were, the cats wouldn't be afraid, they would recognize it. But animals can sense when a paranormal phenomenon is occurring, so maybe you have another spirit haunting you. Pay very close attention to the way they act. If they get to afraid they may harm you.

Not a spirit. They can smell the other cats. I have a 3 month old kitten, and he will roam all over the house. But he will never go into a particular corner of the kitchen. That's where my last cat had his bed, and food dish. The kitten can smell him!
All these cats were together, always have been. They just all of the sudden won't go into our bedroom, that they all shared. The last cat to pass away passed in the livingroom, and they have to problem there. In fact, that is where they are all congregating. It's so weird.
Then it's likely you may have another spirit in your bedroom. Or maybe there's just the smell of the last cat who passed. Look around your room to see if there is anything they are afraid of in there, such as a cat toy used by your last cat.
I did a really heavy sage smudge in the whole house, paying special attention to our bedroom. Maybe I should do it again. No toys, we have already swept the room. Nothing physical has changed. It really has me uneasy.
Maybe there is just something in there that is new, new fabric softner, new perfume etc. It could be that the sage is keeping them more out than usual, cats have a very sensitive sense of smell, something slightly too much for them than keep them away.
