Well...not a weapon you would use to hurt someone, but in wiccan tradition a athame which it a dagger, a boline which is a crecent shaped blade usually use to cut herbs, and in some tradition a sword would be used.
The idea of 'magic' weapons is more about psychic or energy protection than it is about physical.
There are those who will make such claims as "putting up" an intimidation glamour if they think someone is about to aggress them, but is that something you want to use against a violent person? Or would you rather beat pavement out of there?
That said, there are some forms of Tai chi which use a sword as a tool in the exercise, but it is not so much about fighting as it is about energy flow (being Tai Chi).
Well if you want path of magic that would allow you to defend yourself there are several options both armed and unarmed:
- For armed you can start with kenjutsu/sword techniques (advanced forms require specific mindset and level of spiritual/magical abilities, and NO dont think along the lines of Getsuga Tenshou), Bojutsu/ staff combat, there is also Kali and Kali-eskrima for knives and short sticks.
- As for unarmed combat Qi gong and Tai-chi are good choices.
And before you start complaining that non of these are forms of magic just remember that advanced forms of most eastern fighting styles require usage of chi(that is energy that exists and flows through our body, just like energy that most of us today know as magic and/or psi)
