I lit a skull candle anointed with banishing oil to rid a negative person and influence out of my life. I lit a second candle for extra energy. The skull candle burned completely however it burned hollow in the middle with some of the sides remaining somewhat puddled up and the wax in puddles around the base, looks similar to a volcano. The odd thing is the face of the skull simply came off clean, like a mask being removed. Any thoughts on the interpretation?

The ability to visualize for a sustained period is crucial when casting any aspect of magic. Though others may have a different interpretation, I "see" the mask being removed from the negative person or persons whom are influencing your life. Just remember that we often are the authors of our own tragedies and that a part of yourself is one of the negative persons or influences you may be trying to banish.
Thank you... The person presents themselves to others in a way that is much different to how they actually act... Actions speak louder than words as they say. With that said, I interpreted the same as in this process their mask will be removed.
The previous posters are right! Candle magic is very unique to the person that is performing it, and, because of that, a lot of signals, omens, or energy that comes from the ritual is seen uniquely by the practitioner. But from the way you described the person and situation, your interpretation of the lifting of the mask seems spot on!
