I've recently lost faith in many things, but I know the spirits and universe have a plan for me. I'm starting to practice magic and am unsure how to make or put on an alter. Please advice

Actually, you don't need an altar at all to practice magic. If you practice Wicca, for instance, your altar would have certain things on it. But if you are just starting out, why not a few flowers, some herbs, an incense burner? Something to concentrate on, such as a candle or a little statue? There are plenty of books on the subject; and Articles about altars on this site!

I'm going to assume here that you want to know how to set up a Wiccan altar because, as Brysing has said, you don't really need any sort of altar simply to do spells and such.

But if it is indeed Wicca that you're talking about I think you'll find the information you need at: http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=506217
