That's weird. Nothing bad ever happens to me when I use a curse. In fact, curses are what I seem to be best at. I'm not sure why, but...That's the way it is.
I agree with Nekoshema, usually one gets under troubles after a death spell attempt, do make your aura strong and make protections against negative energies, Else may you have strong enough heart and mind to see someone die because of you, these details spells are real so it cannot be reversed and attempts to reverse them is your own death, Else as you mentioned your target is not dead but very sick try to stay away from him/her he/she may will live or will die.
You might not feel negative effects right away, if it was just once or if it was self defence, but if you wake up one morning and go 'I'm bored, I think I'll curse that person' you will most likely get negative energy back in your direction. You might not get beaten up, but you might get a pop quiz in a class you are doing poorly in, forget your homework on the bus, or feel bogged down by the energy. Some even believe your next life you will get rewards or punishments depending on this one. Like a murderer will be a victim in the next life [I don't believe this, but some do] basically do your best and the universe has a way of working things out.
Regarding death spells you are casting a very powerful curse which would require a lot of energy to pull off. Choosing to be judge, jury, and executioner can bring very negative effects because humans should not possess this power. Doesn't matter if this person hurt you, look at the big picture.
A death spell doesn't necessarily mean the person will drop dead, it usually works in that manner, a person getting sick or getting hit with a car. And most people don't really die from those reasons which is why a death spell won't work completely.
Also to curse another is to curse yourself, you cant cast a curse of any sort without reflecting it from yourself to another, most people cast a curse for revenge and to do so that person needs to summon feelings of spite.

The universe has no concept of what rights you do and don't have beyond the natural laws that it governs. Whether or not you think anyone should have the right to another's fate, it doesn't matter to the universe. One human can murder the other regardless of whether they have the right or not. However every action has a reaction which is always equal (well theoretically) yet not always appearing to be the same. In physics if two objects of different masses push off each other they will both have the same amount of force pushing in both directions however they will not move at the same speed. This can also appear similar in magic, you have sent the exact same amount of harmful energy at both you and the victim however they will not affect you the same way it affects them. Also part of a curse is to distance yourself from the person to release the full effect.(wow I just realized how much of a science magic has became to me.)
I'm actually in search of death spells right now. I loved this Prez Okaf's post. But why do the spells always seem to withhold some main ingredient? "more on this later" and then they never reveal it... I will try anyways though and fill in my own stuff. Thank you vampi22
