Yes, it definitely is. Magic refers to that stage magic stuff. Magick with a k refers to real magick.

In my belief Bryson is right, I checked your profile and it states that. But no magick is not a gift, nor a right. It is a ability that we all have, but what we must earn, and how we earn it is by study, thought, and practice.

If you look on my profile, you will see various quotes on my belief of knowledge and magick. I know this is not directed to me, since I am a newbie on here b...I have 4 years of experience. Still a newbie though. I can answer some questions' hiwever.

Magic : What does magic mean to you? To me magic is an ability we all have but what we must learn to control, magic is not a need, nor a want but a gift. Magic is within eveone and is the person's power. Magic is not a poof away problems, it is a gift that van plant a seed, however remember we always sow the seed and get it reeps back.

The forms of magic are plenty. Some use grey, white, and black, however there is eclectic, alexdrian, and dianic, there is also magic like share, anism which is not magick but a path. Magic is magic, it's how you use it, and what you do to make a form.

Magic can have drastic effects. Either good or bad. You make it, you send it out, you get it back. Magic if say a love spell is bad if you ask for a specific person. If you ask to bring love it can have an effect of say bringing a kitten. Magic effects are what you make them. Some side effects can be headaches, or having very low energy. You could also get sick if not cast correctly. Remember magic never goes according to plan.

The most impossible magic is fantasy, it is not real NIR will it ever be. I do believe in fairies but in subconscious form I know however I can't be one. I also consider changing yourself into a fantasy is fluff, or eye colors, you can change yourself b not with magic. There is no magic thatcan change into a fairy, wolf, vampire...gods vampire!! There not real.

The mmagic is RL and fake. That's up to you. You believe. In my opinion certain weather spells, love, luck, and karma are real, but fantasy, and beauty. Ehh fake, and fluff.

Also why suggest just to the knowleable people. Some don't have ranks but are very knowledgeable. I'm not trying to sound ride, however I just got a new account and wow it's hard making a comeback from a beginner rep to like none. Anyways.. good questions, it shows a true learner. Question, and try everything. Blessed be. Mail if you have any questions.

Hello friends it is interesting comments and thoughts from own experience and years of practices, I see here we are still talking about stage magic and not street magic. Demonguy13 yes I still have the image.

Let me share my thoughts I feel in magic the street magicians have summoned a spirit or a jinn to use for their tricks. Who help them levitate or read peoples mind, astrologers, fortune tellers use them. I recently seen a document in which a magician confesses that he was worshiping the devil and had a contract with him and in return he could get what ever he wanted . He could make money from thin air and do lot of stuff, he could manuiplate, but later on when he refused to agree to his services he got into trouble.

Ah,yes! The street magic of India! Look up the word "fallacy", from which we get the word "fake", fakir.
And let's get one thing clear, magic and magick are exactly the same. The added K was put there by Crowley.
There are many definitions of magic. Real magic is changing one or more things into something else. "Appearing" to make such a change (rabbit out of the hat) is illusion.

JDF, what you have written is all about religion; a belief in Gods and/or Goddesses. People work with magic that have many other beliefs, many religions, or no religion at all!
I can demonstrate magic, as I have done in Pagan Workshops. But I cannot demonstrate a belief! And neither can you! Anybody who can read knows there are a great many "Gods" in Indian beliefs.

Respect & peace to everyone,

Defiantly there are religions and Gods which I spoke about, but note that majik know as (Jadhoo) is still be practising with help of these gods, as I said it would be making a new post so that i can get comments on that. What I am trying to tell is Spells known as ( Mantra ) in Sanskrit/ Sawiki. Which has been one of the ancient languages/

The pre-Classical form of Sanskrit is known as Vedic Sanskrit, with the language of the Rigveda being the oldest and most archaic stage preserved, its oldest core dating back to as early as 1700 BCE.
This qualifies Rigvedic Sanskrit as one of the oldest attestations of any Indo-Iranian language, and one of the earliest attested members of the Indo-European languages, the family which includes English and most European languages.

Sanskrit, as defined by Pini, evolved out of the earlier "Vedic" form. The beginning of Vedic Sanskrit can be traced as early as 1700–1200 BCE (for Rig-vedic and Indo-Aryan superstrate in Mitanni) Around the mid-1st millennium BCE, Vedic Sanskrit began the transition from a first language to a second language of religion and learning.

Now there are spells/ Mantras which are in Sanskrit which are very powerful.

Lord Shiva and Durga Maa ( also known as Kalimata) have the 3rd eye and many tantric, aghori , gurus, Sadhus worship them and do majick . It is said that Shiva was the gods of the demons, he use to do heavy drugs and has a snake around his neck. Being pleased by a Raksesha ( King of the demon ) he granted him powers of majic. Who had build a palace made of GOLD in Sri-Lanka.

Well by all this I just would want to pass a message that Majic has been for centuries and these are some information I have.

please do google and see.

I believe everyone has experienced Magic in different ways and a different level.

Now please do not pin point on this topic )))

If anything new to share , please do write.

Thanks & peace to all

The k was put there by Crowley because he didn't like illusionists either, and did not want his system of magick to be misinterpreted as that.

I use magick as that is the spelling Crowley used for his system, the archaic spelling, I use his system. Why the majority of the people on this site use that spelling variant is another question entirely!

http://hermetic.com/crowley/book-4/defs.html

That link is to Crowley's introduction to book 4 where he shares his theories and definitions of magick. Of course, they are his and are not universally accepted- nor should they be! Everyone is unique.

I was the first time I had read a book and clearly understood what I was reading, instead of reading vomit inducing new age terms.

Take or leave it as you will.
