How do you write in runes?

You can go to Google, and search 'rune alphabet' and that should help.

Depends what runes you mean. There are 3 norse ones and one Irish to my knowledge.
Norse :
- Elder Furthak
- Younger Furthak
- Furthok (I think it is spelled)
Irish (Gaelic)
-Ogham

Runic languages are often used as sigils to transfer intent and energy to an object for a purpose such as sealing , or charging. When looking at writing runes I would look at what the individual runes are about, aswell as the letter they represent.
