While others saying who/what entity is.while i was reading this i felt Death in the wind.i can only say that maybe this entity is like a Death Creature to haunt a specific family that made the spirit angry for a reason.I think you must ask all family members who live in a home that wasnt build by them.you can make the spirit angry if you do something on their personal stuff such as their land.maybe if you try apologizing the spirit.but first you need to find what made the spirit angry at youre family.thats all i can tell you.
Just to be safe id do a FULL top to bottom cleaning of your house, than sage every room, every door, every window. Than take salt and sprinkle it around the perimeter of your house for extra caution. Good luck.
What you are dealing with is known as a wraith. Very powerful creatures. If seen one before. Get a sage stick and light it. Go around the inside of your house in clockwise motion fanning the smoke onto the walls with a feather. Name it as a wraith, for to battle a wraith you must know bits a wraith. Command it in a forceful and commanding tone saying, " Wraith, I command you in the name of ( insert your gods name here) to leave this house and property for it is my residence and you are intruding without permission. You are not welcome here. I command you to begone and return from whence you came. Wraith begone and never return." When you get done with this go around the outside of your home, also clockwise, with a lot of salt. Form a ring of salt around your home. I've seen these before, they are "demons" posing as a dead person. My mother encountered a number of them when she tried to join her current church, they appeared and warned her not to be baptized. If you are a Christian (as you said), just command the entity to leave in the name of Jesus Christ and it will be compelled to leave, by your faith.
