Over five decades ago, my grandmother gave birth to a stillborn baby boy, the baby was buried, however no headstone was ever purchased because of lack of money. A lady who worked at the funeral home came to my grandmother's house to work out arrangements so that the baby could have a proper headstone. My grandmother refused to have a headstone placed, and the woman told her that the family would be cursed for not placing a headstone. The balance still remains, and I am in the process of researching the location at the cemetery of this child, so that he can be at peace and hopefully undo this curse. I strongly believe that the curse is real.
My question is are there any burial rituals or prayers I can do or say once I do purchase a head stone? I'm at a loss as to what I should do to right this wrong.
If you wish to say something, wish it from your heart.
I feel that you are already emotionally tied and genuinely care about this, so speak words directly from your heart and spirit.. If you are religious or spiritual, direct the spirit to a better place, let it move on.. The words will come from within.
You are truly an amazing heart for doing this. Peace be with you.
While I was pregnant, I had a recurring dream of this baby boy. Although I did not know about the still born, until recently. I feel his spirit was reaching out to me, and now I know why, and what I must do.
