Well I can assure you that you need not fret as you cannot "bend" the elements. The fire does not react to you, your emotions, or your energy. Take dreams with a grain of salt: if they mean something, it's usually not on a literal level.

You can't bend fire like in avatar but you can still will control over the elements. You can sometimes make the wind blow harder, you can Chang the direction of fire, and a few other details. However these aren't very useful in most cases and you can't make an element like fire.

Jcont, there is something called "pyrokinesis". It is the product of fantasy novels, TV, and Hollywood films. It is not real and it will not work to help you create or control fire. We can work with the Elements, but we can never control them or create them.

Avatar is an amazing show, buy that's all it is, a show. [And some comics and one bad movie we don't talk about] I know of people who can influence elements. They can't create them or from a spark make a fireball, but they can stare at a candle and make the flame grow and shrink. How this works and why I don't know [it could be in a persons head as well, but I've seen it work on a few occasions so I'm inclined to belief you can influence/work with an element.

Your dream might harbour some meanings but dreams should be seen as a hole, and they can be influenced as well as be nothing more than entertainment. If you have a vivid or reoccuribg dream/theme I would look into it but otherwise record and interpret dreams for fun.

If others in your family have a sixth sense as you say you could always talk with them. When I was having prophetic dreams and seeing spirits as a child I mentioned it to my family which my grandmother told me woman in the family have this gift. Just talk to them, otherwise you could try various exercises to strengthen this clairvoyant ability.

I agree. You should talk to your family. I believe that what you say is possible, but there is one thing you should know. You have complete control over your psi abilities. You never need to worry about losing control over yourself, when psi works it will always do what you want when you want it to. The key is learning to control your psi, not unlike a martial art. Your stamina powers it, your mind directs it, and your faith makes it all happen.

There's something called pyrokinesis, which is the fire version of telekinesis. I don't think you can create a flame with your mind but you may be able to manipulate already lot flames with your mind. If you have a long line of psychics (lucky you, considering psychics really just use a greater percentage of their brains than those who aren't psychic, so, technically--and I don't mean to sound like Charles Xavier here--they're more evolved. I agree that you should talk to your family.

Actually the idea that people only use a certain percentage of the their brains is a common misconception. It's simply untrue, but I don't blame you for believing it as it appears to make sense at first glance. However it is still a myth that has long be debunked by neurologists, though I honestly have no idea if a psychic's mind is any different from a mundane person. I also have seen nothing in my experience to indicate psychic ability is hereditary, though I imagine psychics would be more likely to encourage similar traits in their children. I personally think everyone has the potential for psi and there isn't any measurable difference between a psychic and a mundane, though some people may have an innate talent for psi just like music or mathematics.
