Meditation practice,visualization and concentration practice..Their are many exercises out their.. Perhaps you may want to try calm mind dot focus technique or that's what I call other Draw a black,visible enough dot on a paper,stick it on wall in front of your eyes 2-3 ft. away and Stare it with relaxed and calmed state of mind and body..don't strain your eyes but try it few days and focus on it..This would help in focus problem..

I use candles, and have placed hypnotic triggers in my subconscious to achieve this, should the candles take too long.
Some use tools, such as a pendulum, which can be simply a necklace and repeat a phrase to induce themselves. Each person has a different method, so my advice is: find a method that is easiest for you after some experimentation! We are usually our own guinea pigs when it comes to developing our own techniques.

This might seem silly but I've found that taking a shower before doing something like casting a spell or divination helps me relax. And I get to wash any bad energy off of me at the same time.
Yoga and Tai Chi can also be relaxing. On the opposite side of things, dancing can also help. Especially if you are not the type of person who can sit still easily. Dancing loosens up the body which can help loosen up the mind and, I would argue, could even help put you in the mood when casting a certain kind of spell. Like, if you wanted to cast a love spell you could do a sexy dance first. ;)
