I will admit that I've been lurking this site for awhile, gathering knowledge, concepts, tips, and reference works. After learning a lot, I finally decided to step up and cast.
Honestly, I foolishly have 'cast spells' years back that have actually worked, even though I didn't grasp the idea of how magic worked, I like to think my belief in it stabilized my intentions with no ill effects, even though it was dumb to go bumbling into things I didn't understand. (One was a finding spell, the other a popularity glamour.) Perhaps I had latent abilities?
Now, I've found that, although the guidelines for most spells are great, they only 'feel' right if I write them myself. It seems to make the energy richer and the moment more kinetik? I don't know how to describe it.
Anyway, I've been extremely successful with my first true spells. What amazes me is that this process of learning about magick has taught me to ask for the things I need rather than the things I want. I recently cast a spell for clarity, and it's changed my outlook in the most amazing, positive ways.
Enough of my blather; I just want to thank the creators and moderators (and contributors) for helping me with this gratifying process!
