I have a leopard print gemstone I purchased over 20 years ago in a pendant. It had some kind of crystal gem on it as well but that fell off a long time ago. Something about this gemstone spoke to me when I purchased it. I am, though, not allowed to wear it although I am allowed to own it. I had three necklaces break on me, for no reason, when I attempted to wear it but every time it did, the stone did not get lost even if the chain did. Has anyone ever heard of that?

Sounds like a jewelry problem :| And the stone might have "spoken" to you because you thought it was a pretty stone. And you probably keep breaking your necklaces because you don't know how to properly put them on...
I lose the chain of my necklaces all the time, because I can always buy a new chain, and the chain can fall anywhere on the floor. But I never lost the charm of my necklace, because the charm is expensive and I can't afford to lose it.
Why can't you put the necklace on? That doesn't make sense if you're allowed to own it. And what kind of stone is it? Not what it looks like, but the kind of stone.
