Yes and no. It depends on what you are doing exactly and how you are doing it. If you are opening up the honey spell jar, you shouldn't be as you are letting the magic that you put into it originally "escape". If you are simply placing candles on the top of it and/or performing a spell around it, then that should be perfectly fine. However, you should also consider simply shaking your jar every so often to "shake things up" with the love you are trying to gain. You may also wish to look into other things or perhaps taking apart your current jar, as it appears that your original jar isn't working for you.
What sort of love spells are you performing and what did you put into the original jar? You might want to look into what you used within the jar, and try to figure out if one of your ingredients went wrong and/or needed additional help focusing on a particular aspect of the additive. For instance, if you had added rosemary or rosemary oil to it, you would want to work with the particular spirit/purpose of the rosemary (oil) to work towards love and the protection of love. If you don't specify it, you can end up with a jar which kills or mourns love instead of bringing it about.
