Odd Spell Experience

New to magic and had a question, just finished a ritual and was closing the circle, when I bid the lord and the lady farewell, I could feel the lords presence leave but the lady's presence stayed, I got nervous since I didn't know what to do and closed the circle. What should I have done? should I try communicating, let her be? confused and hope someone could help

Did you dismiss them, or did you just close it? You should always properly dismiss a spirit/deity.

One does not "dismiss" the Lord and Lady, that would be incredibly rude. Naturemau correctly bid them good night as a good host would for a guest they have invited into their home who is now leaving. If the Lord or the Lady, or both for that matter, wish to remain in the area of your circle once ritual is done that does not pose a problem. Perhaps the Goddess remained simply to watch over you, or to give you further guidance. I should never worry if the Lord or Lady doesn't immediately leave once you take the circle down. They are after all a normal part of the world around us.
