You need to learn the basics before starting any kind of spellcasting. Basics include Energy Work, Meditation, Circle Casting, etc. The forums have many posts on it and on my profile I have helpful links that will help. Once you learn the basics you will have enough knowledge to start casting simple spells.

Wands are a magickal tool that is not necessary. They help to focus your energy when you are spellcasting. An Athame is another magickal tool that does this as well. However if a spell requires it you should have it. You can use your index finger as an substitute for the wand and I believe you can use the index and middle finger as an substitute for the athame.

Again, the basics is necessary in starting out magick.

Yes, you may use your finger but I would not advise doing the spell yet until you have some knowledge of the basics.

Wicca is the religion in which one worships the Lord and Lady and celebrates their birth and death during the Sabbats. You might want to research Wicca.

Witchcraft is just the practice.

Hi Isaiah2506,
If you are new to this and do not know the basic or your history/religion (as in what is wicca, witchcraft, hoodo, voudou, or whatever magickal belief system you believe in or when people mention a certain religion) then I highly do not recommend you to do any magick. That is like saying a person is going to bake a cake when they have no experience whatsoever in the kitchen. It will likely end up being a disaster. So, do your hw and learn the basic as well research before jumping right in. It will help you a lot and it sure as hell do not make you look like a fool. Believe me I've been there done that not fun so do yourself a favor and start at the basic. It will get you so far.

To make a wand, you gotta find the right Te of wood and size you want it to be. Carve, decorate it, do anything you want with it until it looks perfect to you. Until that's done. You got to speak to it. Put every bit of emotion into your words. Give the wand a reason to awaken. If you concentrate hard enough, you would start to feel the wands energy awake. Encourage it until you feel it's power fill you up. Let you and your wand become one.
That's how you make a wand. If you have any questions or you just wanna chat, mail me
