I tried to put on the drumming audio, relaxed, got in tune and visualized that I was at a place in nature. I either climb down a hole for the lower worlds, or my power animal takes me and flies me up to the upper worlds. I've asked to talk to guides, I've talked to my power animal, asked questions, ect. I just don't know if what I'm doing is accurate.. I don't know if I'm making it up. Is this considered "shamanic journeying"?

That is considered Shamanic journeying. You have to trust your instincts though. Have you ever had a feeling of just 'knowing' something was a certain way? That's what a gut feeling feels like.

I do believe I had a shamanic journey. Have you ever had one? Do you mind if I ask to share your experience?. Lol. I really want to learn more about shamanism, and how to bring some of the practices of shamanism into my spirituality and my spiritual practice.

What's the difference between astral projection, and shamanic journeying? Do you feel the vibrational stages, ect when you shamanic journey?

When a shaman journeys, he/she is usually planning on acquiring or learning something by journeying through other worlds. The fact that they have a goal, and set plans on where to go, separates this from your everyday astral projection.

But how come there's so many people who have a hard time with astral projection, but with shamanic journeying, people find it easier (from what I read.) They also say there's more work in astral projection.. Is that true?

Very true, thank you. Now when you journey-- What does it feel like? When I attempted what I think was a shamanic journey, it felt a very intense daydream.. Its like I was mentally somewhere else..

"But how come there's so many people who have a hard time with astral projection, but with shamanic journeying, people find it easier (from what I read.)"

I think the reason why a shamanic journey is easier is simply because you've done the extra effort to plan where you are going, what you are going to do, and when you will do it. As for simple projection, people often don't have as detailed plans and an urgent need as a shaman often does.

As for how it feels, it is often different for each person. What I can say for sure is that it will become more clear and crisp of an image over time and with practice. For me, personally, I view journeys as if I am looking through a foggy tunnel at what I am meant to be seeing. Keep practicing and trust your instincts.
