When I visualize,
should I see myself in 3rd person (looking at myself)
or should I see in 1st person (from my eyes)

Thank you very much for this Lark. I love recapping basic concepts and gaining different perspectives on it. You did wonderfully on making this easy to digest and a good quick read.

As a meditation practice, I was taught to imagine myself and then to erase myself. This practice was meant to get rid of the physical and just be energy. While I can visualize most anything and manipulate what I picture in my mind, it is very difficult for me to picture myself and slowly "erase" myself. Another technique was to imagine yourself melting (not in a painful way) but to just release your particles. Again, I find that once I have a finger or hand erased, my mind snaps it back into place. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this or has any thoughts about this.

(For the record, this is purely about visualization and imagining within ones mind)

Thank you for this post. I have had trouble with visualizing things in my head for several days now. This really helped me by opening my eyes to new possibilties and ways of doing so that I never thought of. I am very appreciative of what you posted. Thank you again!

@SeaSyren, if you have trouble with this then it is beneficial if you would start with a simple object, like a candle flame, gaze at it, and then visualize it. Close your eyes if it helps.

For those with issues with visualization, I suggest utilizing chanting and emotion to boost the strength of intention. This would be something in the effect of Galdr magick. Another alternative would be to use a trance state along with chanting such as is done with Seidr magick. I’m no expert on spellwork but I can get things accomplished by using methods that I know well and putting forth a lot of effort in making my intentions clear and focused. Where something is lacking, put forth more strength into what is available.
