Hi everyone back again with more questions..ok now I always happen to recall dreams from days or weeks back out of nowhere and my intutuition (I'll say) tell me it's from a week ago or a couple of days anyway I just want know how is this possible and should I write/record these dreams down as they come back to me...thanks for future help and reading :)
I think every day little triggers can bring dreams/memories flooding back regardless of how much time has past.
I would write/record your dreams for sure. I've read in the past that a-lot of people keep a dream journal by their bed and when they wake up they write everything down they remember from that nights sleep. In your case you could write everything down initially and then when you recall the dream write that down also and compare.
My husband never seems to recall his dreams, but for me I remember them very vividly and in color like a movie. I have always wondered why my husband never remembers his, specialy since when he gets really tired he talks in his sleep and lets just say I get to hear them sometimes. Some are about work and then some are not...let's just say I don't have that hair color. But I also know that dreams can mean a lot of things and though they may not look like me they could be representing me in his dream but when I ask him about them (any of them he always tells me he never remembers) Is this odd? or is this normal for some people?
From what I understand of dreams, we use dreams to work out the issues our waking state can't/won't so that we can have balance in our waking state - but that is just one theory.
There is no definitive answer to what a dream is or why we have them. Let alone why some of us remember them so vividly and some of us not at all.
I don't think its uncommon your husband can't remember his dreams. I usually only remember really intense dreams otherwise my dreams to slip away quite quickly and I can't remember the details or specifics, just the fact I did dream.
If your husband can't remember his dreams, maybe you could record the things you hear when he's dreaming and look up and try help him interpret things he may be feeling/dreaming about and give you both some clarity?
I wouldn't mind but he could not care less. He doesn't remember them and since he never has he does not care about it. "Why fuss over something I can't remember,"he says. Gee I wonder why, as a wife hearing him with what sounds like someone else, duh I don't know honey maybe cuz I would like to know, but next time I hear him I will write it down and start journaling or at the very least record him since he never wants to believe me about it. :P Just need to find a way of recording all night, his phone cuts off after 5 minutes or less and I dont think I can get it on my computer (PC) to far away. But I will figure out something. :)
Well I'm sure you could get a little tape recorder from the local store. I wouldn't worry though, our minds have a way of distorting things from reality into something else in our dreams, after all how many times have you had crazy dreams you've woke up from and thought "what on earth?"
Not only that but often to when I do look up my own dream interpretations what I first thought and what it is turn out to be are very different things. So at least you may put your own mind at ease :)
Good luck and I hope it all works out! x
