When useing a bord first off cast a circle around your area or house. This will prevent bad energy or things from comeing in. I was taught never to use such a device without casting a circle first. Second you call the specific name of the thing you are wanting to talk to. For instance you do a summoning spell or ritual for a dead relative. In the ritual you use their name and call that spirit. Most summonings are done by name. If you don't use a name then anything that hears or is drawn may come and then yes that can be very dangerous. Because they can and will impersonate people or things to get to stay in the area and feed off of that living energy.

This is not a divination tool. This is a means to contact spirits or the other side. In divination tools you are refering too Tarot Cards, Rune Stones, or Ogam Sticks, or some other such.

why do you want to use a ouija board? using a pendulum would be safer if you're worried. like i said though, protect yourself and cleanse once done. people who wind up getting attacked don't use the board correctly.
