Spell check anyone?

Maybe some people should invest in spell check or a iPhone which auto corrects. I just joined this website and noticed lots and lots of spell errors. Makes me think that all the people who post spells are completely uneducated.

Remember that many of our members are from non-English speaking countries and so may make mistakes in grammar and spelling.

The irony in your post is that you have several spelling and grammatical errors as well. :P

Really though, just autocorrect the mistakes in your mind. As long as you can understand their point(s), it's fine.

You said that it doesn't affect the spell? I get annoyed too if they isn't proper grammar or spelling either.

I'm sorry but the irony behind the phrase "they isn't proper grammar" literally just made my day.

Everyone makes mistakes, grammatical ones included. It's something that we're all guilty of so I'd try not to get too wound up by it. So long as the individual has put in some resemblance of an effort. It's only when someone starts utilizing the short handed "text speech" type sentences that I start getting irritable but that's largely because I rarely understand what on Earth they're trying to say.

Hey there guys, I would like to remind you all that the site does have a spell correcting system. In order to get it to work, all you need to do is to launch the HTML editor and the option of spell checking / correcting will be unlocked.

Beyond that, there are other ways to spell check and then correct public contributions. For example, a very known thing is advanced internet browsers that auto correct which I find incredibly useful.

Besides that if people really want to keep publishing perfect contributions, they can delete what they published and correct their mistakes later... Secondly, there is an option to edit spells and articles by the member who posted it.

Beyond that I agree with Murife, we all make mistakes, and it is very unfriendly to call people who occasionally make mistakes "uneducated".

There are some who clearly post their comments in the same way they make texts and other modern communications.

Am I wrong in thinking the majority of people who use English know that the word I is always written as a capital letter? Yet many use it as lower case. I don't think I'm wrong. This is laziness and makes the poster less credible. Who is going to take seriously someone offering themselves up as a teacher who uses text talk and is too lazy to edit their work?

Yes there are foreigners on here, but they tend to stand out as such. At least they have the grace to try, which puts the 'uneducated' to shame.
