I know you don't want to hear this but I'll tell you it anyways. Don't take revenge. Be the bigger man and say that while your offender committed an unjust act against you, you can have the heart and courage to say no, to not fight fire with fire. In the end it will just create a bigger fire. I think you will feel much better doing this than stooping to the level of the person you want revenge on.

There is no such thing as 'dark arts'.

Magic is magic, however you wish to colour it.

The wisest action in this situation would be to rise above the cause of your vengeful feelings and instead resolve the issue with a spell that relates to that cause without introducing the sort of stuff that will inevitably come back on you.

Make this a positive spell of magic and you will be astonished at the result.

I don't buy into all that karma nonsense. Nor do I buy into a moral code the universe holds against you. But honestly, vengeance is hardly something to rely on an unstable means to achieve. Want revenge, get it in a way you know you will have the result you want.

It's been said, but magic is magic, gravity isn't evil, it just is. If gravity holds you in place and stops you from flying into oblivion, or it makes you plummet to your doom, it merely is, and always will be.

Warlock X welcome, I respect the fact that you don't buy into the whole Karma thing however you profess to be a man of science therefor you must consider the possibility that for every force there is a counter force. This would mean that your intended 'target' would have to have harmed you in a similar way to effect cosmic balance thus avoiding any potential cosmic 'payback'. Are you sure you wish to take this risk? Would it not be more sensible to use defensive/ protective measures?

Science doesn't really support such an idea as of yet. I'd be willing to see any supporting evidence, but until then i'm not going to subscribe to a notion of karma any more than I will of standardized morality, or gods.

From what I've observed of the universe, not only is karma unsupported, it seems unnatural. Things are harmed for the purpose of sustaining life in the natural world constantly, it seems selfish but really it's just how life works. It cannot exist without taking from something else for it's own gain.

our whole universe is a world of utterly destructive forced of incredible power that consume, crush, burn or destroy other things, and even themselves. It's destruction that creates the world, it's chaos that the universe is born of, and it's selfishness that creates, and sustains life around us. Morals don't have a role in the universe except among humanity, and they are killing our world off slowly.

In physics for every force there's a corresponding force therefor it follows that there's a possibility this would apply to magick. What you put out into the cosmos could return to you with equal measure. Weighing up the risks do you still wish to persue this agenda?
In reply to your comment yes I concur that much of the world is consumed with chaos and I would add to that greed. Why do you wish to contribute to this when there are less invasive and distructive paths available?

Your assuming morality and force correspond to one another. Yes, should you chose to be stupid with forces, energy similar things and not be cautious you will end up being your own bane... But morality has to have a tangible standard for it to exist as a force.

This is an entirely different discussion on weather or not morals even need to exist however, and has gone way off topic. So perhaps we should discuss that elsewhere. I would be fascinated to understand your ideas... But I've seen only evidence that morality is a noniexistant human construct of thought, like good and evil, just a bunch of misconceptions.

Morality has to be linked to accountability and intention. Intention's inescapable and cannot be perverted or corrupted unlike Karma. Karma's self definined so therefor one can delude oneself into believing that an act is for the greater good when in fact it could be the contrary.
It appears that your concepts and theories align strongly with those of chaos magick. Have you explored this path?

Yes actually. I work mostly with mixing physics, chemistry, and magic, but i tend to think a healthy dose of chaos is needed for everything. I have found chaos magic to be an extremely versatile and widely used term. I like to think of myself not really having a set path so to speak, but merely taking this and that from wherever is necessary and useful at the time to utilize in a random assortment of stuff, that gives steady, measurable, tangible results.
