I am not down-playing anything.Merely offering what maybe an explanation. And I did say "most conversations", not all!
A premonition may or may not be the same as two people saying the same thing.I am merely saying that there could be another explanation for such things.

I've been having this too. Since I was a kid I would have nightmares for months in a row with a bit more detail each night, and then the event would happen. But I never understood why it happens. But I'm freaking out now as last night I had a restless sleep because I was having a nightmare about my car being crashed into whilst parked. Today I was involved in a 3 car pile up, which happened when I was stationary and two other cars ran into me. It happened almost the same as my dream, including the same types of cars etc. I don't understand why it happens but it happens.

I have had it happen, although mine are not nearly as vivid as your premonitions seem to be. The extent of my occasional gleans into the future is a blurred "memory" that hasn't happened, but will, and some major action will be taken by one tnose who are seen within the dream. Another strange happening that I've experienced before is be "dreaming, but whilst being concious and aware of my surroundings. When this happens to me, I wake up what seems earlier than I normally get up, but I've found that it is actually the same length of recommended rest for someone my age (give or take 5 minutes)

I had this happen to me many times and they all came true. Except for two dreams didn't cause I believe what I've done to keep them from happening.
