If you wish to be an alchemist I would suggest first reveiwing philosophies such as Taoism and teaching yourself basic chemistry, physics, the periodic table, chemical reactions between electrons and other such scientific notations and theories of the sort.

Although Isaac Newtons expiriments have been documented from his time but I'm afraid that ther are encrypted and most certainly open for the public, or at least the last time I had checked they aren't. But if you are refering to the philosophers stone, you should check out the green lion picture, that is how the philosophers stone is depicted, or at least the process.

The elixer of Life? And Isaac Newton was indeed an alchemist, as well as a philosopher and a scientist.
