The Law of Truth
By:
I have created a law of sorts that could perhaps be considered... I was hoping to seek advice and other input from the community. Perhaps there is already a law for this, but I am unsure. All I know is it sounds reasonable... So my proposal is thus:

All "truths" created by man are flawed (or have potential to be flawed), but in every one of these "truths" there is the potential for a grain of Divine Truth to be found.

I know this might sound a little confusing, but I think some of you will get the idea. So what do you all think?

by human nature our perceptions are flawed. If two people view the same event they will look at it in a different light. While there views may be similir they wont be the same. This lead to a problem when looking at the "truths" known by man. If are perceptions are flawed, how can truths not be? But as you said there would usally be a grain of truth in What these "truths" have to say. This can be seen from religion to science. Humanity cant agree on anything usally. I think this is what your getting at and it is a interesting viewpoint.

There are already such concepts. Subjective Truth and Absolute Truth- I'm not really sure about saying "Every truth" that humanity establishes is ultimately bound to be flawed, as there are some things (absolute truths) that are... Well, absolute. I also believe it's a common belief of the people of SoMland that most things have a grain of "truth" in them. Perspective really makes it a difficult concept u.u

This post is starting to remind me of the philospher Descartes work of trying to find out what was real in the world. This is were the well know idea of "I think therefore I am" was made. He basically was trying to boil down the world to absolute truths and came to the conclusion that the only truth that could undoubtable be true was that he existed. His meditations do make an interesting read.

I see what you mean. And I sort of had something else that connects to this called the Law of Application. It's that all of what we would know aS "physics" and any other sort of science only applies to our universe. In other universes, the laws of science could be completely different. This is what makes human perception so flawed. We tend to only see from our viewpoint and base all our thoughts upon what we can prove. This is why science tends to conflict with religion. To truly be enlightened, we must learn to see beyond the limitations of our universe. For only when we have done that can we see with eyes like those of the ascended.

This idea matches up with a phrase from the Bible that says "All things are possible through God."

And if I were to add to that statement, I would say that the metaphysical realm is a realm that borders between our world and the Divine Worlds (Heaven, Hell, etc.). That is why the laws of science seem to have far less application there. It is also why perceptions of the metaphysical realm vary from person to person. It is because our minds have a hard time comprehending what is going on due to how we are used to being able to put evidence behind everything we consider "true." Once our connection to our body is finally broken when we die, though, we are able to comprehend it all with eyes that are able to see the truth. Therefore, this is how we come to ascend. This is also where the idea of Divine Truth comes from. This can also connect back to the physical limitations concept. It may also connect to how life is all about God testing us. He uses these limitations to test who we are, and to see if we can learn to seek what is right and true.

Therefore the laws of science have no application in the Divine Realms. That is what makes it possible for them to exist. There is no real science in these realms. They can be anything. Thus comes to us the fact of our own places in Heaven (or Hell). Meaning that the concept of our own personal paradise (or torture) stems from this.

And then this is where we come to understand why some spirits do not ascend directly after death. They become confused and lost. Thus the term "wondering spirits."

I made a typo there. I meant to say "wandering spirits" not "wondering spirits." Also, sorry for the multi-post. I couldn't find an edit button, and I wanted to type that out before I lost my train of thought. So my apologies if that annoys any of you.
