Meditation
By: / Beginner
I just meditated for 20 minuets and I wondered if anyone also experienced
Tingling starting from extremities and spreading out to the rest of you
And feeling like you'd woken up from sleeping and feeling refreshed and energetic? (one person told me meditation makes you sleepy)

These things happen every time I meditate and I wondered if this happened to anyone else :)

Yes that can happen as the energy surges through the body. Everyone's experience from meditation is different. Some feel calm and refreshed, others gain energy. There are no wrong answers

Everyone experiences in meditation is different because of the state of consiousness where the particular meditation is held. Some can easily slip into a deep state of meditation while others remain at a more shallower state , where the mind is distracted , not focused and henceforth.

There are also many types of meditation and the techniques differ and the intention of the meditation also varies.

---

The tingling feeling you felt is probrably you being more sensitive to the energy around you and thus the feeling.

It is not uncommon with many types of meditation for you to return refreshed and eneregetic.

I frankly feel that being tired from a meditation is a Big Nono and clearly the person is doing it in a incorrect manner unless they are doing energy workings during the meditation.

People may feel tired and sleepy from the meditation too when they enter the meditation a bit tired but was not too consious about it and after the meditation , where their awareness was sharpened , they felt their current state more strongly and felt tired.

I would like to point out that in meditation , one should not be feeling tired and if one does , he or she is at risk of falling asleep.

It shows a lack of control and to a certain extent , discipline. This does not apply if the person is originally fatigued in the first place but even in that scenario , he or she should not be practicing meditation in that condition anyway.

Two questions. Can meditation leave you vulnerable to possession? and Does meditating while naked help or not?
