I know that there are many uses for rose petals and rose hips both in magick and herbal medicine, but I can not find any information on the uses of the leaves. Could anyone enlighten me?

Usually I collect rose petals and wash them carefully from any dust and keep under the sun for a few minutes. Then in one small jar I put first layer of rose petals then one table spoon of honey, then again rose petals and next is a honey, till I feel the jar. Jar has to be small. This lovely "potion" I keep for my special friends and my family. When someone depressed, passive or feel lonely, this sweet treat is nice to have with a cup of tea. Many find it is good to eat it before any meditation and I will not mention how good Rose honey potion for a love relationship :-D

Rose if full of rare vitamin K, which is good against bleeding, and blood loss... whole rose is rich with this vitamin, but easiest way to tap into it is petals. you can collect them, dry them, and beat them into the powder, which can be used against menstrual pains, some lesser blood loss, and powder can be applied on cleaned wound mixed with some natural antibiotic, like powdered garlic (since garlic is full of allicin*)and yarrow powder... warm up coconut milk a little bit(not over 40 degrees), and add that powder to make some nice healing potion, (btw i would also add some aloe juice into it)... you can also make tincture with those powders and then add it to the coconut milk and then add aloe... also, if you leave coconut milk on air and sunlight for some time, it will turn pinkish-red, and there you go, you have your healing potion looking like healing potion, naturally being pinkish-red!
you can research more about vitamin K...
Oh, and by the way, i think that it would be great if people focus more on project they want to work on(e.g. healing potion), not to discuss plant by plant, acting like "allknowingoproultraproffessional alchemist/herbalist/mage-sage mega-shaman of muscle tribe of power and danger"
(did you know that composition of coconut milk is similar to humans blood plasma, and it can be injected intravenous in extreme cases?) (you can mix all that powders with less coconut milk, and make thick balm which can be also applied directly to the wound)

By the way, you can practice your aura reading, and you can discover yourself what herb or crystal is good for by simply looking at it, reading energy by your hands is also good, and if you combine those two like me, then only tool left to use is your common sense, since colors of crystals, plants, fruits, are not accidental, every being and every bit of matter in this universe and on this plane is manifestation of higher energies colliding in that point, thusly creating a plant, a crystal, a vessel for life, creating living beings... by simply looking at herb or crystal, you can tell for what it can be used by its coloration, structure, but it is also good to read its energy and aura, and also do some research, because there are few exceptions.
*(The antibiotic activity of one milligram of allicin, the active ingredient in garlic, equals 15 units of penicillin. [Koch and Lawson, Garlic: The Science and Therapeutic Application, 2nd edition, Williams & Wilkins, Baltimore 1996]
