ok i have never cast a circle before but i do have a book that tells me how, but my question is when you start casting a which gods or goddess should i say? i don't know any gods or goddess names

if you are studying Wicca, it's the God and Goddess [aka The Horned God and The Triple Goddess] they are partner deities who watch over us, and basically represent nature. there are other names for them [Lord, Holy King, Oak King, Lady, Maiden, Mother, Crone] but just called them God and Goddess. as you continue, you might feel closer with, say, Osiris and Isis, or two deities from different cultures like Bridget and Loki, that's fine. but in Wicca, it's The Horned God and Triple Goddess, so when casting, say 'God and Goddess'.
