I am Spiritual Satanist . I believe that after death we go to Hell and if we were bad we reincarnate if we were good we stay in Hell. And Hel is not a bad place for my Religion and Taioism..

i was raised anglican, i remember believing in heaven, still kind of do, but i believe in Summerland, more like a waiting room in your own personal heaven until you're born again.

i remember as a kid my friends and i were hanging in the cemetery [small town, only fun thing we did was read tomb stones and find our relatives] and my friend Arlene asked me what i thought of death. i told her it was a part of life, though i kind of wish i could become a cat. she laughed and told me that's reincarnation [never heard of it until then myself] and i said it sounded right. to which she said it sounded dumb because you'd come back as anything the second you died. [then my other friend Randy told me you only come back as a human it took a few more years until i learned about reincarnation.]

personally, my believe is when you die, you either become a spirit wandering the earth [for whatever reason until you can cross over] or you go straight to Summerland where your spirit is cleansed and you relax before coming back in a new life.

I believe that just as the body degrades when we die, so does the self. Of course it will never completely degrade, just as your influence on the world will not be lost, even if it is a small change.

I do believe in the concept of the soul, but i feel the soul is different from the "self". I feel the self is what degrades while the soul both unites with the One and at the same time permeates into everything in existence.

Well I've died before and I've read NDE reports. In death it's sort of like dropping all of the bodies aches and pains, it also feels like love. (Warning bit descriptive) Before I died, I suffocated on body fluid from a medical condition, I felt a feeling of immense love and reassurance from nowhere. When I 'died' my conciousness sort of bloomed into a wakeful state. My body was jerking from lack of oxygen but I felt detached. My soul was still 'in' my body, so I saw even though my bodies eyes were closed. The memory is a bit blurred but I remember a voice asking 'What is precious to you?' then it blurs and I came out to a choice. Inhale and cough, or die. Now, this whole expirience felt like a few hours at most but in reality I was in an inbetween. It was all in the span of my last breath. So I inhaled. Breathing felt heavy. Trying to breathe after the question of live or die felt like moving a bag of bricks.

Sushie, please go on, I'm fascinated. What happened next in your experience? Near death experiences are fascinating.

Well I've explained it all. After 'my death' my bad health got better and I'm different. Prior to it I had many instances of 'almost' suffocation but after it they mostly stopped. Attitude wise I became more willful and a better person. It also helped me religon wise. Two years ago I was a heavy christian but moved to wicca, wicca had what I wanted but not the foundation. A year ago I found a friendship with a girl who was a kind person but developed a god complex and became an abusive witch. She tricked many people. After that came a bit of depression and the death helped me put more of a value in myself and helped me embrace myself and my religon.
