I agree that using blood in the rituals.
in ancient times was widely used, many ancient rituals have great use of blood.

including not only human blood but also the blood of animals, to certain rituals, in fact still exists as present in many types of magic has not changed, as in voodoo or Santeria, or santanismo, use the blood of animals as an offering.

But I recommend having a lot of caution when using the own blood or the use of the another human in rituals because, as is the main source of vital energy, is highly prized by the spirits, and should exercise extreme caution and ensure effective use blood.

I don't recommend Blood Magick is more for advanced people. You can attract bad entities because the blood contains energy mark and the person (blood) can have really hight energy good for some entites !

I believe all magic is done using blood.
Seems to me people don't like the sight of blood.
Blood to me is understanding and with it you can understand all forms of ritual code and symbolism. Now if somebody was using literal blood all the time from their body I can see how it can be a health hazard.

Question:

I don't know anything about blood magick. Why couldn't menstrual blood be used? I have heard of it being used in "love spells", but could it substitute for any blood spell or offering? Not that blood magick is for me at all, I was pondering the thought.

I think you could probably use menstrual blood. I never had, but it's only a little different than normal blood- hey, it might even be better, with all the extra nutrients.

That was gross, I'm sorry.

But I think it would be potent.

Menstrual blood is usually used in love spells, etc, because of where it comes from. Menstrual blood is also waste blood; it's blood that the female body naturally sheds. It doesn't take a sacrifice, doesn't take any effort to gain, etc, and so usually is only used in certain types of magic.

It's similar to getting a Christmas present: Do you want the gift that someone else was given first, but didn't like or do you want your own gift?

Menstural blood is used for a variety of things. Think of what it represents. Nourishment, protection, attraction, and creation.

Unless you really know what you are doing I would not suggest using blood in spells and rituals. In doing so, you create a direct link to yourself. This can be useful for some things. However it could be dangerous if used improperly.

Whenever using blood in a ritual, be careful. Use proper sanitary methods such as one would use drawing blood in a hospital. Also it is not always necessary to use large amounts. Just a drop should be enough for most workings. It was suggested to me, to use one of the finger prick things they use for blood sugar monitoring. This way you are not putting yourself in danger from a possible cut to a blood vessel.

I've only ever used blood magick once, and that was to make a pact with someone. We pricked our fingers so that we wouldn't bleed too much and so we could clean it out more efficiently. It's the only thing I ever use blood for (and really, how often do I go around making pacts with people?)
