Okay I have always concidered myself to be an eclectic pagan. I call upon many different goddesses and gods in my works. No one Pantheon or specific goddess calls to me particularly moreso than another. When studying Wicca alot of books and sites will immediately tell you that you need to start by choosing a Pantheon to work with. If I choose to be eclectic and appricate all goddess the same and it works for me then I do not need to choose a particular Parthenon I feel. I would like to know how others feel about this. Why is it the first step should be choosing a sect when you wanna work with the whole?

It's to show which direction of magick you need to be leaded to. (black magick, white magick, elemental, ect.) It's so you can have a starting point towards your goal.

Some feel that this makes your work more focused and balanced. Others will say it is easier to develope a close relationship with your God(s) Goddess(es) when you do not work with quite so many. Regardless, I suggest you do what feels right for you. I used to work with a mix from several different Pantheons and now I just work with a few from the Irish/Celtic. To me there is not much of a difference, for they are all different aspects of the whole.

Blessings xx
