"themed" Sabbats

Okay,so this probably sounds Pretty stupid But i like to hold "themed" Sabbats with my friends.
Usually this Theme Comes from a part of nature, E.g., A honey themed Beltane or a pear themed Yule. (this does not at all distract from ritual.)

But I was thinking..."how Should I "theme" yule this year?"

What do you guys think?
and Do you guys have any sort of theme or special things you do on the Sabbats? (if you observe them.)

If you wish to observe the Sabbat of Yule, why not burn a real Yule log! It has to burn for twelve days, so it would have to be as in the old days; an actual tree trunk!
Yule is a very old Viking tradition, closely allied to witchcraft. It is the "death" of Mother Earth, and the "resurrection" at Imbolic. (This Death and Resurrection of a Deity is not confined to Christianity!)

I love the Yule tradition.

It also always gets that song from Ren and Stimpy stuck in my head.

"Log, log, it's big and it's brown and it's wood.
Log, log, it's better than bad, it's good!... "

And so forth.

In old times a house was not like a modern house. The fire burned in an "open hearth". What happened at Yule was that a tree trunk was placed with one end in the fire; the other end could easily be outside the house altogether! As the log burned, it was pushed into the fire bit by bit, until the whole log had been burnt.
That was the original Yule log. Nowadays, of course, a small log represents the old ways. But the burning of a real log, no matter how small, would still be a celebration of Yule.
