is it possible to make an altar and offering to the angel of death so as for one to gain his favor to live longer?

I doubt one such entity will grant such a wish.. but it is my understanding that daily reiki can have quite an effect.. I hear improper healing can actually do more harm than good, but this theory is a bit self-destructive, from my point of view. At any rate, please don't expect things to be handed to you.. just saying, :D

You can be immortal there is no such thing as imortality here on earth. I am sorry to say i don't any spiritual entity would want that for you anyway. You can't really live that way. You are born the way you are.

I suggest working with angels and exploring the nature of death. You will find that things do not work like that.

I've only ever heard of a few ways to gain immortality, and I think all of them have been grossly exaggerated. The only method that I think could actually work (though healing can be very effective) is the Philosopher's Stone. According to the Book of Aquarius (my scapegoat in case I'm wrong), the Stone is made out of, for lack of a better description, pure magical (psychic, soul, quantum, zero-point, the names go on and on) energy extracted from fluids life produces (fruit juice is mentioned as a possible ingredient). The Stone can be physically ingested, upon which it triggers a purification of the body since it is, in essence, a physical manifestation of purity. The rate of "purification" depends on how much you ingest and how often. In a way, the Stone doesn't grant immortality, it just prevents the body from slowly decaying with age by (I think) exciting the "life-energy" in our body, similar to exciting electrons to form a current. I don't know if this is true, though I hope to test out the recipe mentioned in the book. As to what the recipe is, lets just say it is obvious why no one ever thought of it.

Seeing that recipe would be interesting.
I do not think a being such as the one you asked of would grant immortality to anyone.

However, on a different note. Scientists are investigating how to stop aging. Some theories suggest that the telomeres in humans grow shorter as time goes on and eventually this causes cells to reach their replicative capacity and become "old". They propose that by drugs or gene therapy we can lengthen telomeres and this would extend the human life (see Hayflick Limit).

The Turritopsis nutricula is an object of much scientific study concerning immortality:

It is known as the Immortal Jellyfish.

"How does the immortal jellyfish accomplish this feat? It is through cell development process of transdifferentiation. What this means is that it can alter the differentiated state of the cell and transform it into a new cell. In this process of transdifferentiation, the medusa of the immortal jellyfish is transformed into the polyps of a new polyp colony. First, the umbrella reverts itself and then the tentacles and mesoglea get resorbed. The reverted medusa then attaches itself to the substrate by the end that had been at the opposite end of the umbrella and starts giving rise to new polyps to form the new colony. Theoretically, this process can go on infinitely, effectively rendering the jellyfish immortal."
