Broom Flying????

I'm new here and even I know something as silly as flying a broom isnt possible, it being impossible has been proven by history as some others have stated.

Magic has limits, we as humans arent gods and dont posses that kind of power.

even though magic has limits we still have the capability to be come gods

Now I know that flying broomsticks and carpets defy gravity and they're pure fantasy. But I was reading The Greater Key of Solomon and there is a spell for a flying carpet... no, i haven't tried it, dont want to either. Just thought I'd share my two bits here.

someones been watching harry potter to much, a broom cannot not fly on t he physical plane, even I know that, now use some common sense, if the levitate spell never worked neither did the flying broom.

kind of sad that the first thought of this is harry potter and levitation did work if that did so would the broom flying one would too i have said this before and no i havent seen any harry potter movie since almost the beginning of summer

I agree with espirit on all of this. Now for my two cents...

Okay,first im going to address the "laws are made to be broken" saying. Sure, you can look at it that way, but I think that saying goes along with man made laws like "no stealing, running in the halls,talking in class,etc". It doesn't mean the laws of physics.

And then the basic understanding of magic. What you've got to understand is, magic isn't what hollywood makes it out to be. It's just energy manipulation with intent,really....And scientists disagree with it because they're going off of what they know about magic on hollywood TV shows, but they haven't really opened their minds to knowing what magic really is.

So,that being said, can energy really make you fly? Nah....And come on, the whole "rules are made to bebroken" thing, lets use common sense. Can we really break the laws of physics via energy manipulation? Nope.

So, basicly, flying on a broomstick is not possible. Try it if you want to...You can believe it however you want but the reality is, it's just not possible.

I'm not trying to be mean or get your hopes down, but facts are facts, and nothing can change that.

Plus, come on, if flying on a broomstick were possible, don't you think you'd see lots of people flying around?

theres healthy no drug ways to fly, discovering is part of the adventure!

A flying broomstick is impossible not only will you first need to levitate the broom but then your going to have to sit on the broom to levitate both you and the broom which will take a massive amount of energy to defy gravity then your going to have to move it in all directions plus still keep your balance. Even if this was possible it can't be done in a humans lifetime. Sorry to disappoint you :)
